Position Description

IT Project Manager/Technology Delivery Manager

Sr. Project Manager to serve in Technical Delivery Lead role for design, development, and implementation of a "Universal Customer Profile" (UCP) platform. The Technical Delivery Lead will partner with a Project Manager and Business Lead to execute the UCP project, and will be responsible for managing a matrixed team of analysts, application architects, developers, and testers to ensure effective delivery of the platform. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing system requirements effort
* Engaging architecture and development teams to lead design of technical solution
* Facilitating technology change management
* Coordinating & compiling technology estimates (cost and duration)
* Managing technology components of program forecast - tracking/monitoring technology resource utilization & spend
* Managing development effort (via matrixed resources)
* Ensuring technical solution meets functional and non functional requirements (including appropriate scalability, performance, security, etc.)
* Managing acquisition and setup of required development, test, and production environments
* Partnering with Testing Center of Excellence to plan and execute system and user acceptance testing
* Planning and coordinating deployment through test and production environments

UCP will be a key enabler for a seamless customer experience across multiple product lines providing:
* A single point to view and manage customer profile - for use by consumers and our internal customer service representatives
* A platform to manage contact, subscription, and alert preferences
* Automatic replication of updated profile elements across key servicing platforms

The project is currently in the Discovery phase and the Technical Delivery Lead will be responsible for leading Requirements through Implementation - with the possibility for extended assignment or conversion to an employee role for ongoing management of the platform and/or implementation of follow-on projects.

Qualifications
 Technical Delivery Management through insource/outsource providers
 Proven track record for successfully managing technical delivery on projects in a matrixed resource environment
 Technical task, issue, and risk management
 Expertise in all phases of system development methodology
 Strong communication and relationship skills
 Self Starter - Energetic and motivated
 Solutions focused and capable proactively recommending solutions when scope, schedule, and resource availability are out of balance
 Ability to serve as an expert and business advisor to leaders regarding technology decisions and applications, and grow productive working relationships with all levels of business and IT management.
 Experience with CRM architecture is a plus
 Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
 Ability to manage a staff under difficult situations and maintaining team focus and commitment to achieve defined objectives
 Familiarity with web-development technology in a Java environment is required
 Familiarity with SOA is required - familiarity with Oracle Aqualogic is preferred
 Financial industry experience desired
