IT Security Analyst


 


Wawa’s Information Technology Department is recruiting for the position of IT Security Analyst. This individual will be responsible for following all processes and procedures necessary to ensure the security of Wawa’s computer systems, data, and networks from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Primary responsibilities include oversight and administration of vulnerability scanning tools, data loss prevention tools and security testing and audit of defined controls; providing technical and administrative support for all Wawa Information Security related systems, tasks and programs; assisting in determining the adequacy, efficiency, and effectiveness of all the internal information security measures for Wawa; and interfacing with the user community to understand their security needs and implementing systems and procedures to accommodate them.


 


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


1.         Assist in achieving and maintaining Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) by keeping apprised of change to the standard, evaluating new systems for impact and conducting regular audits.


2.         Utilize various security tools to perform security and vulnerability assessments of the internal, wireless and external networks. Identify potential threats and develop recommendations for corrective actions.


3.         Continuous monitoring of system patch and vulnerabilities against company assets.  Daily monitoring of e-mail alerts and web sites for available patches to OS or applications. Development of communication and follow up process with operational teams to validate patch management procedures and timelines.


4.         Work with Internal Auditors to validate that Information Security controls are being met and that vulnerabilities are documented and mitigated in a timely manner.


5.         Work collaboratively with IT and business units to identify and evaluate security architecture requirements and help project teams develop appropriate risk mitigation procedures.


6.         Perform firewall rule change reviews as well as quarterly firewall ruleset reviews.  Report on any variations on rules with recommendations for remediation.


7.         Assist in development and administration of the PCI compliance, enterprise policy development and implementation, incident response planning and testing, file integrity monitoring, patch management, data loss prevention and other tools the security team has responsibility to oversee.


8.         Participate in evaluation, investigation and testing of new technologies with other teams to enhance Wawa’s Information Security infrastructure.


9.         Provide IT security assistance and guidance on IT and business related projects as required by the business.  Provide guidance to the Operations Command Center (OCC), End User technologies (EUT) and Call Center staff when needed.


 


What you’ll need to be successful:


         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related technical discipline


         Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISA, SSCP, CAP a plus


         Minimum of 3 years working in information security


         Minimum of 4 years working in information technology


         Working knowledge of information security technologies such as: Firewalls systems and services, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Wireless Analyzers, Identity & Access Systems, Encryption technologies, etc.


         Experienced in conducting cost benefit analysis and risk assessments


         Strong written and oral communications skills, including documentation skills specifically with the drafting and updating of enterprise Information Security Policy & Process


         Proficiency with Visio and MS office tools


         Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work with minimal supervision,


         Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service focus


         Ability to work in an on-call rotation and perform off-hours support calls
