IT-Senior Business Analyst
Description: Position Summary: The Business Analysts role is to design, develop, deploy and support business processes and technology enablers. This will be achieved by becoming an experts in a given process area but also understanding the integration to other process areas. This role requires a working relationship with business users and IT to identify opportunities for process improvement, collection of business requirements, creation of a business case for action, and working with key resources to deliver a solution that meets and/or exceeds expectations. This individual must apply creative thinking, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of our IT system investments. The primary focus for this role is Quality Performance Management and Reporting.
Accountabilities: - Work with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements that support our company objectives. - Lead "Discovery Sessions" to identify new and/or enhanced business processes for the purpose of enhancing our operational effectiveness. - Proactively analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality business processes/data and develop plans and recommendations for improvements. - Collaborate in the planning, design, development, deployment and support of new Quality applications, and enhancements to existing applications. - Use and promote the IPECC project management methodology process. - Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. - Promote standardization and integration across our enterprise application suite. Ensure that we have effective and comprehensive integration points between multiple applications. - Create process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction in the development process. - Coordinate and perform testing with end users. - Provide "Keep the Lights On" support when needed for ongoing day to day business issues. - Project Manage selected projects in your area of expertise. - Provide orientation and training to end users for supported business processes. - Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts. - Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Experience: - 5 years minimum related work experience in a Wood Manufacturing environment and related processes. - Strong leadership and organizational skills. - Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly manner. - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Strong change management skills and the willingness to make a difference. - High energy, motivated roll-up the sleeve team player exhibiting the 5 traits of MBCI (Passion, Integrity, Teamwork, Confidence, Hard Work). - Extensive experience with core ERP software functionality in a manufacturing environment. Shop floor data collection expertise is a plus. - APICS knowledge or CPIM certification is a plus. - Business process expertise in modeling/mapping business processes, conducts as-is/to-be business process analysis, is instrumental in business process re-engineering and involved in the change management exercise. - Good understanding of project management methodologies. - Data analysis skills to identify what data the business currently has, what data needs to be carried over to a new system and what data needs to be constructed. - Data cleansing knowledge in scrubbing current state data for future state data and processes. - Highly self motivated and directed and able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. - Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education: Degree in the field of business administration, business management, computer science, accounting, Manufacturing or Quality
