IT Solutions Engineer
· This position designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software applications.
· Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
· Has expert proficiency in multiple modern programming languages and frameworks.
· Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
· Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams. Provides technical support to project team members.
Agile Development Team Environment – this Solution Engineer is a coding architect, responsible for contributing to architecture guidelines and then enforcing them through design and coding on distinct projects.
A Test Driven Development environment using tools like SpecFlow and Cuke4Nuke.
Most of our non-legacy code is Visual Basic .Net. – help us move deeper into .Net! (C# & VB.NET)
Solutions Engineers interact with our business folks and executives – providing leadership by mentoring junior developers and collaborate intensely with similarly skilled individuals.

Winning Combination: Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience. 4-6 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas. 1-2 years of project management experience. Must have a commitment to continuing education. Appropriate industry certification(s) a plus.

· Strong project management skills and solid team-player.
Technology Competencies
· Specific to targeted platform (mainframe, web, client server) - Expert level competency in one or more modern programming languages (C#, Visual Basic, Java, C++, COBOL, etc.)
· Strong working knowledge of dependencies between software development and infrastructure design.
· Specific to targeted platform - Expert level working knowledge of development and debugging tools.
· Strong working knowledge of database design and query.
· Proficient in Agile delivery techniques is desirable.
· Strong working knowledge of SDLC and Project Life Cycle principles.
· Expert level working knowledge of platform specific code repository products.
· Specific to targeted platform - strong working knowledge of client-side and server-side scripting.
· Strong design and documentation skills using tools and techniques such as design patterns, UML, DB design, and infrastructure diagrams.
· Strong working knowledge of web development design languages, scripting tools, and protocols such as HTML, XML, HTTP, HTTPS, ASP, CSS, AJAX, Java Script.
