IT Specialist

Corix Utilities develops customized water, wastewater and energy infrastructure systems and provides field-metering services for customers all across North America. Our customers include municipalities, resort properties, gas, water and electric utilities, developers and institutions. Corix has more than 65 years of experience designing, building, financing and managing the vital utility infrastructure systems required for communities to grow and thrive.

We currently have an exciting position available for an IT Specialist to work out of our Garden Grove facility to be responsible for participating in the inspection, set-up, installation, deployment, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of mobile handhelds, personal computer hardware, and related peripherals, including software installation.

Hiring for 1st and 2nd shift that includes Saturdays.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day support coverage to users ranging from but not limited to software and hardware, including Citrix.
• Troubleshooting both on the phone and in person.
• Work with multiple hardware and software platforms.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Wi-Fi networking.
• Strong troubleshooting skills both on the phone and in person.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
• Application support experience with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows operating system(s) and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience using various PC hardware and software.
• Ability to learn multiple programs and apply knowledge to problem resolution.
• Professional and effective communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Possess a positive attitude.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
• Experience working with handheld devices is also a plus.
• Associate Degree in a computer-related field. Related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
• Valid drivers license.
• Travel may be required.
