A growing division of a global manufacturer of specialty flooring for commercial retail construction seeking an IT Specialist in our Kennesaw, GA division.
The IT Specialist will Install, analyze, configure, and support the PC and network systems.
Maintain and upgrade hardware and software to ensure availability and security.
Provide backup support for network monitoring, database administration support and programming.
Implement systems and network solutions from diverse sources.
Maintain daily records of data communication activities, and administer systems and network performance.
Write, maintain and troubleshoot rules for manufacturing and electronic configuration systems.
This role will work between manufacturing and IT to control information processed through ERP systems, including database integrity, material movement, information workflow, and document management related to manufacturing.

Ability to effectively handle technical escalations and manage time critical issues.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems in a client/server environment, desktop computers, laptops, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, peripheral devices, and other network hardware components and protocols as used in a corporate setting with remote users.
Requirements
2 years or more of experience in managing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of moderately complex client/server and network systems
2-4 years of Help Desk experience
Strong knowledge of current network infrastructures as well as hardware and software troubleshooting skills
ERP systems and manufacturing experience
Understanding of database concepts and SQL
Programming experience a plus
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science preferred
