BASIC FUNCTION: 

Prepare and execute test plans to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company’s general computer controls within the various IT environments in the company.  Plan, perform and report on audits and consulting engagements of client/server technology and mainframe platforms, programming, internet and intranet functionality, databases, technology strategy, data communication, network security of in-house and outsourced IT data centers. Conduct evaluations of the effectiveness of the Company’s IT internal control over financial reporting.  Job functions include, but are not limited to:

·         Participates in the annual IT risk assessment and creation of the IT audit plan.

·         Works in a team environment to manage the planning, auditing, reporting and follow-up of integrated technology audits.

·         Reports audit findings and makes recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations and reducing costs.

·         Coordinates IT Audit efforts with those of the external auditors.

·         Manages multiple responsibilities and special projects as need.

·         Performs pre and post implementation reviews

·         Performs general controls review.

·         Oversees systems upgrades and conversions.

·         Perform duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions.  Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, tasks and/or duties beyond what is outlined here may be assigned as required.

PREREQUISITES: 

·         Bachelors in accounting, computer science, MIS or related field.  CISA, CPA or CIA desired.

·         A minimum of 3 to 5 years of information systems technology audit or combinations of public accounting/management consulting, risk advisory, IT audit services and private technology auditing.

·         Possession of, or working towards attaining professional certification (i.e. CISA, CIA, CFA, CPA, etc.) is desirable.

·         Desired experience with the following applications/processes: Windows, Client Servicer, Internet, Intranet, LAN’s, WAN’s SDLC, Firewalls, Routers, COBIT, COSO, SOX 404, infrastructure, general controls, application controls and data base management systems .

·         Knowledge of audit methodology, procedures and techniques, GAAP and fundamental EDP concepts and applications is required.

·         Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and the external auditors are required.

·         Ability to analyze complex data and information, identify problems and formulate viable recommendations and add value to the organization is required.
