There is an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist. This is a permanent, full time-time position and will reside in Tucson, Arizona. Travel to Providence offices around the Western region will be an occasional but ongoing requirement associated with this position. This position currently reports directly to the IT Support Team Lead. Work hours will fluctuate on a quarterly basis from 6:00am MST - 3:00pm MST to 8:00am MST - 5:00pm MST to meet organizational demands across the country. Overview:
The Information Technology Support Specialist primary responsibilities include 1st and 2nd level direct end-user support for computer and networking hardware, off-the-shelf standardized software systems and other business applications. This support is provided both remotely and in person, depending upon the location being supported. This position also provides administrative and organizational services supporting the operations of the national team. The ideal candidate will not only have end-user support experience but will consistently operate in detail-oriented manner and maintain a well-organized work environment. Other duties include support for IT-related and physical systems such as security and telephony. The Information Technology Support Specialist is under the direction of the IT Regional Director or IT Support Team Lead.
Job Duties:
* Provides 1st Level and 2nd Level end-user support and troubleshoots hardware problems pertaining to workstations, servers, networking hardware, and other computer peripherals on the LAN and WAN * Provides 1st Level and 2nd Level end-user support and troubleshoots software problems for all operating system and software applications, as well as a variety of other software utilities and specialized systems * Manages and tracks, in detail, Active Directory user accounts according to policies and procedures * Installs, configures and upgrades both hardware and software on workstations and peripherals * Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution * Assists in setting up and maintaining IT-related items in company offices around the country * Manages IT physical inventory. Maintains an accurate and detailed inventory. Controls the movement of technology hardware and software in and out of inventory * Manages the IT software library - books, CD's and electronic media * Provides operational support for maintenance of infrastructure items that affect and involve IT such as phone systems, alarm systems, cabling, electrical, internet connectivity, HVAC and copier/printer/fax systems * Tracks and completes the recurring facilities tasks * Maintains and organizes physical space owned by IT * Ships and receives orders and technology items for the national team * Travel is required, by both plane and car. On occasion nights and weekends will be part of the work schedule for special projects
Preferred Qualifications:
* 2-year Technical or Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required * Microsoft or other certifications relating to Information Technology and Information Systems such as directed MCP’s beneficial * Experience working in a health care related field beneficial * Experience working in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment beneficial * Strong oral and written communication skills * Ability to work effectively as part of a team
