IT Support Technician-- 2nd Shift
Summary:
The IT Support Technician is a team member in our IT support pool. This position acts as primary IT Support for our warehouses that operate overnight. It deals with issues that occur, trouble shoots errors, correcting if possible, properly evaluates severity of issues and escalates to proper resources if necessary. This position works on software and hardware updates that are required to be done between 4:00pm and 8:00am. This position monitors evening and nightly processes and contacts proper resources if there is an issue. This position is also responsible for evening and morning startup of legacy application and running of required jobs. Hours will require adjusting/extending when necessary to provide coverage.
Base hours will be;
2nd Shift – 3:00pm- 12:00pm
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience working 2nd shift.
- Strong Written Communication Skills.
- Strong individual work ethic, with self motivation and self discipline.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong Trouble shooting skills.
- Knowledge of MS Windows Environment.
- Knowledge of print queues and printer support.
- Strong experience in trouble shooting PC and Printer issues.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP addressing.
- Knowledge of HP Printer setups.
- Ability to build/image laptops and desktops.
- Knowledge of MS Software Patching.
- Ability to quickly learn new products and hardware.
Job Responsibilities:
- Nightly job process maintenance.
- Computer and Printer troubleshooting and setup.
- Monitor evening jobs.
- Perform system software maintenance as required.
- Printer Queue Management
- Build and repair PCs and Printers
