IT Systems Analyst (Complex Medical Conditions) - TRICARE - Golden Valley, MN Position Description: This function works in the analysis phase of the system development lifecycle and operations support both pre- and post-deployment. Primary Responsibilities: - Consults with end-users to evaluate business system and IT requirements
- Evaluates existing or proposed systems
- Prepares detailed application specs and analysis documents from which programs will be written/enhanced/fixed
- May be responsible for small project work
- Works with applications and infrastructure as assigned, in a cross-team and individual basis
Qualifications: Requirements: - Knowledge and understanding of servers and networks
- SQL experience to include running queries, writing statements, table relationships and data types
- 2+ years experience with technical writing and documentation
- 3+ years demonstrated experience with internal and external clients (i.e., hospitals, clinical staff, providers and physicians) gathering detailed information
- 2 years healthcare insurance industry experience
- 1 year familiarity with regulatory controls as related to various audits
Assets: - Ability to debug coding issues to determine where issues are within the code, strongly preferred
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Java and .Net
- Knowledge of Websphere or other Application Servers
- Experience anticipating customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
- Being able to adhere to a project plan and accomplish project milestones
- Able to perform complex conceptual analysis
- Understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
