We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer Lead to be part of our Client Services and Production Engineering team. This person will be responsible for leading and supporting the technical infrastructure and platforms that supports Progressive's business systems. This person will take the lead in evaluating, recommending, installing, configuring, implementing, supporting, and maintaining complex software solutions. This person will coordinate and maintain all configuration changes in the client engineering group, and is responsible for ensuring that the availability of the supported environment meets negotiated service level agreements for various business groups. Other responsibilities include guiding others in the development and on-going maintenance of complex utility software, diagnostic software, software tools, system monitoring tools, and any other software being used across the business.



Requirements:

- 6+ years of experience working with Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 or System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM07)

- 6+ years experience engineering client solutions within large scale software distribution systems and processes, client platform, production engineering and operations.

- Demonstrated depth of understanding of Windows desktop operating systems

- Direct responsibility for service transition initiatives where a person is taking design and facilitating towards operational implementation

- Responsibility for providing their client engineering knowledge to perform tier 4 escalation and will be part of the team providing the highest level of problem resolution within Progressive for the client platform
