Classification: IT Technician

Time: Hourly Full time (40hr/week)

Hopewell Nursery is a large wholesale grower in the Southern New Jersey area. With over 1,800 acres of production fields we carry a large diverse product line with many varieties, both common and rare. The Hopewell Team serves Retail Nurseries, Landscape Contractors, Re-Wholesalers and Garden Centers from Maine to Virginia and West to the Michigan and Chicago markets.

Hopewell is looking for an IT technician to provide phone and computer-based support for their proprietary software. This person must have exceptional communication skills, be able to work independently and have a working knowledge of client/server technologies.  Included but not limited to Windows server OS, Windows XP, Office, SQL, Crystal reports and data bases.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

·          Must be able to work 8:00-4:30PM (During High season, spring/fall Saturday work will also be required).

·          Must have 2+ Years experience supporting a Multi-User environment including software support, system maintenance and desktop installs.

·          Experience with data bases.

·          Experience with SQL and mechanical skills are a plus.

·          Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with non-technical audiences is a must.

Responsibilities:

·          Provide technical support for staff.

·          Maintain and perform maintenance to servers, workstations and printers.

·          Data collection through databases. Such as SQL, primary software AGS and labelview.

·          Report writing using Crystal reports.

·          Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position:

The position is In a small IT department in a growing business, main function is to assist your supervisor as needed, but also to perform the responsibilities listed above. The position is in a office environment, but due to long range wireless and multiple farms some outside work and traveling might be involved.
