Flaster Greenberg, a regional based law firm, is looking for a motivated professional who can rotate responsibilities between Technology Training and Support. This position is based in Philadelphia, with frequent travel to the Cherry Hill office and other firm locations, as needed. This individual is responsible for firm training to include new hire training as well as other firm training requirements as assigned. This individual is also tasked with addressing first and second level support issues. The Training Support Specialist reports directly to the Information Technology Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Development of courses and other related training materials
· Train new and existing employees on firm installed software
· Conducts technology training classes for attorneys and staff members, either in structured classes or one-on-one training.
· When needed, will travel to offices firm-wide to conduct training sessions
· Assist in developing and delivering the firm’s training initiatives
· Coordinate and schedule new and advanced training classes as needed
· Maintains thorough knowledge of the Firm’s technologies and applications. Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments related to training methods and techniques.
· Provide first and second tier support for all software and hardware as well as handle a variety of general IT tasks and projects
· Assists with user support by conducting and assisting with follow-up training classes
· Update training materials and support documentation as necessary
· Provide assistance to the IT Department as needed
· Assumes additional responsibilities as requested
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent technical knowledge
· 3 years of related technical training and support experience in a business environment - law firm experience a plus
· Excellent presentation skills and extensive experience delivering training programs in a range of environments including classroom training, demos and one-on-one classes
· Excellent writing skills and experience developing training materials and documentation in a variety of formats
· Exceptional communications, interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management and staff
· Thorough command of the industry language and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of technical and non-technical users
· Ability to troubleshoot first tier hardware and software problems.
· General knowledge of desktops and laptops to include hard drives, memory, ports and devices.
· Working knowledge of printer configurations
· Blackberry experience to include installation, training and troubleshooting
· Thorough working knowledge of the Firm's standard computer applications including the Microsoft Suite of products, Interwoven, Citrix, RainMaker, Adobe Acrobat, VOIP telephony and general office productivity tools in a Windows environment
· Must be able to remain calm in pressure situations, deal with stress associated with a fast paced work environment, adapt quickly to change, and grasp and apply new ideas quickly
