IV Infusion RN – Private Physician Practice

Looking for a new and exciting opportunity?  Harper Associates is conducting a confidential search for a Registered Nurse with Excellent IV Infusion skills for our client that has multiple clinics located throughout the Metro Detroit area.  The two primary locations are the Clarkston and Troy area.  This RN will travel among the various satellite outpatient infusion clinic locations and will also serve as the Office Coordinator which requires management experience.  As the Office Coordinator, responsibilities include; handling staff schedules, coordinating all clinical aspects, resolve any office issues that may arise, monitoring appropriate RN levels on site, monitoring all back office functions and other related duties.  

This is your opportunity to utilize your nursing and management skills in a gorgeous, private physician office setting, work day time hours, and really get-to-know your patients!  Each location has a state-of-the-art outpatient ambulatory infusion setting, administering IV antibiotics, IVIG, TPN, biologics, blood products, etc.  NO chemotherapy medications are administered at these locations.  Must currently start peripheral IVs on a daily basis and multitasking is essential for success in this role.  Those with experience in emergent care, critical care or IV therapy departments are preferred.

Duties Include:

• Starting peripheral IVs
  
• Infusing IV medications: IV antibiotics, IVIG, TPN, and other medications
  
• Charting
  
• Wound Care
  
• Other general nursing and management duties
  
• Coordinating schedules and supervision of staff
  
• Regulate and oversee clinical functions

Requirements:

• 2+ years of management experience
  
• Active, unencumbered Michigan RN license
  
• At least one year of experience starting peripheral IVs on a daily basis and currently starting IVs on a daily basis
  
• Nursing experience in: emergent care, Critical Care, outpatient infusion or related areas are preferred.
  
• Multitasking is essential for success at this role
