Summary of duties: The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Software Developer will be a key member of Protocol Global Solutions software development team. The primary role of this position will be to develop, plan and maintain IVR applications on the Avaya Voice Portal platform. This role will require experience with Avaya’s Dialogue Designer tool and Voice Portal platform. This position will also play a role in supporting and migrating legacy IVR applications from an Edify to Avaya’s Voice Portal. The position will maintain a solid understanding of script interpretation, script development, database programming, testing and working in a high level language. Solid knowledge of VXML and CCXML is highly preferred. The position will have demonstrated SQL programming capabilities using Stored Procedures. Specific Functions:
Ø Develop New IVR Applications from Business Requirements Documentation
Ø Plan and Migrate Applications from Legacy System to Avaya Voice Portal
Ø SQL Query and Stored Procedure Development and Optimization
Ø Strong Testing and Quality Control Aptitude
Ø Team Player in fast paced and dynamic environment
Requirements:
Ø Avaya Dialogue Designer experience preferred
Ø Voxeo’s Voice Objects a plus
Ø Edify IVR Programming a plus, but not required.
Ø Designing and Developing IVR applications using VXML and CCXML preferred
Ø Exposure to Telecom, Avaya or service provider environment related to IVR preferred
Ø Solid SQL Query and/or Stored Procedure Experience preferred
Ø BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field a plus
Ø Visual Studio, ASPX, C# Development a plus, but not required
Ø CTI Experience a plus but not required
Ø Attitude to learn new technologies in dynamic environment within short time frames
Ø Solid ability to communicate technical or project information to/from peers required
Ø Ability to sit for multiple hours at a time and to work multiple hours a day at a computer keyboard; and
Ø Ability to remain alert and focused during the work day.
