Description:
The Irregular Warfare(IW)/Joint Urban Operations(JUO) Training Specialist position supports the Joint Irregular Warfare Center (JIWC) in Suffolk, VA.

* Identify gaps in JUO and IW leadership development requirements and capabilities to support the development and implementation of potential solutions.
* Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, briefs, and papers to senior decision makers. Participate in JIWC/JUO leadership development related conferences, discussions and meetings.
* Support and represent the JIWC during implementation, sustainment, and refinement of actionable recommendations for improvements in JUO and IW training capabilities across the Joint Force.
* Assist with establishing networked training facilities, with Joint tasks, conditions, and standards to accommodate combined arms, Joint and Multinational forces, and exercises.
* Support JIWC initiatives and JWFC collaboration/led efforts to ensure Joint training facilities are realistic depicting the urban and urbanized irregular warfare encountered environments.
* Support the management and supervision of JUO and IW leadership development enabled by Joint National Training Capabilities (JNTC) and Joint Knowledge Development & Distribution Capability (JKDDC).

Secret

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with 9 years directly related experience. 4 additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Prefer U.S. military or federal agency experience.

Must have Irregular Warfare and/or Urban Operations experience which can be applied to Joint Training.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Must have an active Secret security clearance.
