The Identity Lifecycle Engineer is responsible for the development and management of service technologies for the Identity Lifecycle service area. The Engineer will work with the Lead Engineer, Delivery Manager and Service Lead on enhancements, continuous improvements, and guide the work activities of developers and other technical resources. The role responsibilities include requirements gathering and definition, technical design and specification, development, testing, and implementation support. The Identity Lifecycle Engineer will develop new solutions and maintain existing technology of the world class global Identity Lifecycle services.

This position is responsible for the end-to-end technical implementation of the Identity Lifecycle solutions encompassing Pfizer’s on-boarding, off-boarding, and Access Provisioning processes. Access Provisioning is a global process framework that all Colleagues, Contingent Workers and Business Partners use to access to Pfizer systems and data.  The processes and services provided are audited regularly and are required to meet all corporate security policies.  This is an Operations role with 24x7 global service support responsibilities along with continual monitoring of the service for quality levels, and response to outages or performance issues with a sense of urgency. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, enhance, document, and develop fixes for Pfizer’s Identity Lifecycle services
  • Develop and deploy solutions to ensure that Identity Lifecycle services are performing according to specifications, meet defined procedures, and comply with applicable information security policies and requirements.
  • Integrate applications and third-party products into internal services.  Support and upgrade implemented systems.
  • Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve Pfizer processes and end user experiences.
  • Collaborate with the Service Lead, Lead Engineer, Service Delivery Manager, and customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop, document, and maintain service patterns used for application integrations.
  • Manage technical work activities of contingent worker resources to support enhancements and continuous improvements to services.
  • Support 24x7 management and oversight of BAU operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, Master’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of software design and development using Java, Python, or C# as well as experience with SQL, including at least 1 year developing custom software for large scale Identity and Access Management solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical material to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing medium to large scale, global IT deployments of enterprise Identity and Access Management solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or other regulated industry preferred
  • Advanced security certifications a plus
