JOB DESCRIPTION:


The SIS Implementation Consultant is responsible for the success and implementation of all aspects of the SIS application. They are charged to participate with multiple projects through various phases of the implementation, from initiation to post-live support. The IC will work as a trusted adviser to client resources from various departments and utilize their perioperative and SIS application expertise in the areas of workflow, process, system build and configuration, as well as end-user training. Communication and presentation skills are essential to the success of this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine clinical requirements and establish partnership with client for successful implementation for the project team (client, vendors, and SIS)
  • Install, configure, and support SIS software components during implementation project, upgrades, and additional services
  • Review, discuss, understand, and execute the SIS processes and procedures with team on the following items and set expectations, review technical tasks / needs and manage identifiable artifacts resulting from them:
  • Application kick-off and milestone dates (deployment, training, validation assistance)
  • Training and Education planning based upon standards and contract requirements
  • Software deployment – SIS and 3rd party vendors
  • Report - evaluation, deployment and troubleshooting
  • Interface - consulting, recommendation, and assistance when possible
  • Trouble shooting – S/W issues
  • Issue tracking and escalation process
  • Client associated risks identified and corrective actions or consulting
  • Communication and documentation – verbal and written: training docs, resource responsibilities, agenda, kick-off and go-live
  • Document (access, custom codes, reports, scripts, workflow, Support transition)
  • Go-live support (remote and on-site)

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Transition to SIS Support
  •  ASA for additional scope – collecting requirements and creating ASA to present
  •  Remote and on-site visits
  • Create and maintain application portion of project book (electronic or hard-copy) that includes above information and other pertinent information. Closeout application portion project book upon completionof project and transfer to SIS Support
  • Identify possible risks with contingency plans or work-around solutions with the client on a continual basis during the project live cycle
  • Review, assess, and manage with PM application scope of work (SOW), scheduling, and budget.
  • Execute and drive to meet as stated per contract agreement
  • Conduct application project kick-off with proper project materials (plans, presentations, demos, etc)
  • Attend weekly or bi-weekly status meetings prepared to assess, communicate, and deliver follow up items or action plans relating to application aspects of project
  • Assist and focus client in directing resources and efforts to achieve project goal
  • Address client’s application issues and close all issues before transition to SIS Support
  • Assist in gathering information needed for custom reports and participate (if needed) in custom reports issues
  • Participate in SIS Support transition call. Objective is to transition zero issues to SIS Support. Open issues are to be owned by CC implementation team
  • Provide Project Manager with overall project summary with items completed correctly, items completed incorrectly, and ways to improve for next time - Client’s satisfaction level

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Peri-operative experience
  • SIS Software proficiency desired
  • Exposure with MS Project and proficient MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Database administration experience (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, DB2)
  • SQL scripting, database statements (DML/DDL)
  • Troubleshooting
  • General Windows operating system knowledge
  • General network support experience (mapping drives, connectivity FTP services)
  • Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills and client presence
  • Bachelor’s degree, RN or CNOR preferred
  • Travel up to 50%
