Lockhart Insurance Holdings (“LIH”) is seeking an In-House Insurance Defense attorney in Illinois to provided legal representation to its insurance companies and/or their insureds.  The attorney will represent the aforementioned parties before courts and arbitration panels as well as mediations. They will also be responsible for all legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs, and settlement negotiations. The candidate should possess the following qualifications:

Ø      Licensed to practice law in Illinois

Ø      A member in good standing of the Bar of the State of Illinois

Ø       A member of high professional standing

Ø      Three or more jury trials with verdict as first chair preferred

Ø      Experience in Insurance Coverage Defense - First Party and Property Insurance Litigation

Ø      Ability to handle and defend Tort, Contract and Personal Injury Litigation - First and Third Party

Ø      Ability to provide coverage analysis, legal analysis, defense strategy and settlement analysis

Ø      Knowledge of Insurance Contracts and Commercial Policies, specifically including the CGL Policies
