Job Description:

·         Responsible for department indirect manning

·         Responsible for hourly and salary labor force 

·         Develop and mentor supervisors

·         Oversee the daily quality plan  do check  adjust

·         Support VRT's with supplier quality concerns and IQ support for weekly meeting

·         Coach and assist teams in problem solving

·         Push known supplier quality issue upstream to next model planner to prevent recurrence of known customer concerns

·         Conduct initial training needs assessment for IQ & Receiving Inspection based on new and existing model requirements

·         Manage Pre-Delivery and finished vehicle audit status for all supplier concerns and data on pre-build units (FEU, Integrated Build, Continuous Build) by VIN number

·         Participate in all new model launch meetings as required

·         Assure process to monitor quality level of supplier parts during change is in place

·         Oversee the maintenance and publication of QR2 data on pre-build units part concerns

·         Support and encourage quality, cost saving, and other projects as required to provide IQ personnel with state of the art equipment

·         Keep the Plant Manager and the Operating Committee informed of supplier quality status

·         Coordinate development and incorporation of supplier quality objectives for the Plant's Business Plan

·         Manage process operations allocated to the IQ office

·         Coordinate real time supplier quality concern feedback to base departments

·         Coordinate supplier quality requirements for On-Site Modifications and PSO's

·         Submit IQ capital budget requirements annually

·         Manage Quality Deployment Sheets (QDS) for IQ

·         Coordinate Single Agenda Quality Issues related to supplier quality with PQCST (PVT)

·         Mediate conflicts between suppliers, engineering and purchasing over responsible for customer or production build concerns and guide them toward the customer required solution

·         Coordinate IQ concerns found in V.O. and Plant FCPA audits

·         Support required internal audits and management reviews associated with ISO 9001 Standards for IQ area

·         Assure all records and properly identified, organized, filed, and purged per applicable procedures (FAO, V.O. and local procedures)

·         Support the "Best Practice Award program implementing Best Practices ideas from other plants and sharing Best Practices with other facilities

·         Develop and implement Quality Control/Pre-Delivery Ford Production System (FPS) requirements as applied to IQ

·         Support and contribute to the plant Policy Deployment Process

·         Manage the Incoming Quality activity, and the QR2 System utilization

·         Develop attendees and agenda for Monthly IQ Meetings

·         Coordinate and co-chair monthly incoming Quality Meetings

·         Oversee the layout of parts as required for production personnel, PVT engineers and VRT members

·         Provide IQ support to contain suspect component concerns until certified stock arrives

·         Coordinate all processing of defective materials with plant MP&L organization

·         Work with plant personnel to initiate appropriate containment and corrective action while supplier does the same

·         Oversee the review of supplier 8D's and the acceptance or rejection based on content

·         Assess Q1 suppliers quarterly

·         Develop and maintain the supplier sign-in reporting system

·         Develop and maintain an effective Incoming Quality communication process to support VRT's management and sister plant(s)

·         Lend assistance to the Dealer Liaison for supplier related concerns

·         Publish Incoming Quality data on pre-build units (FEU, Integrated Build, Continuous Build) by VIN Number

·         Provide feedback, to appropriate departments, concerns identified by dealers and customers related to supplier quality

·         Send letters/faxes regarding delinquent suppliers to Purchasing, STA, and plant management weekly

·         Review production letters for #2 and #3 shift

·         Review Operating Costs

·         Manage the reimbursement of plant expenses due to supplier quality concerns

 

Requirements include:

·         Leadership skills

·         Strong knowledge of the entire production system

·         Quality engineering background

·         Certified quality engineer

·         Strong statistical background

·         Engineering degree
