Chanel, Inc., a leader in the luxury goods, industry, seeks a F/T Indirect Procurement Manager in our Piscataway, NJ location.

Position Summary:

·         Assist in the development/implementation of an indirect sourcing strategy.

·         Assess “as is” indirect procurement process and recommend modifications where appropriate and/or design a new policy/procedure.

·         Conduct thorough spend analysis for corporate non-saleable goods and services

·         Identify major sourcing opportunities and benchmark potential savings.

·         Clearly define service level expectations and requirements related to new sourcing opportunities.

·         Develop supplier qualification criteria to assess current supplier community and recommend new suppliers who can add value.

·         Develop and implement new sourcing tactics (i.e., renegotiation; competitive bidding) using existing best practices.

·         Institutionalize indirect sourcing process and review periodically

·         Develop methodology/metrics and tools to track progress.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Industrial Engineering


• 5 years experience in related purchasing activities


• In-depth purchasing knowledge with broad range of non-saleable purchasing background (i.e., leasing, insurance)


• Highly developed negotiations and analytical skills


• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills


• Computer knowledge Excel/Word at intermediate skill level


• Experience in contract development


• Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience preferred.


• Project management experience
