New Business Analyst

Lenox Advisors is a full-service, multi-faceted financial services firm.  Our clients hire us for our commitment to help them achieve long-term financial success.  We have an immediate opportunity in our New York office for a New Business Analyst to help with the underwriting of our life, disability and long term care applications.  The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Processing of all individual insurance applications (life, disability & long term care)
• Acting as a liaison between agents and insurance/underwriting companies and meeting with agents on a weekly basis to discuss cases
• Coordinating all medical underwriting requirements (exams, APS’s)
• Assisting clients with inquiries, concerns and changes throughout the application and underwriting processes
• Working with the underwriters and underwriting team to obtain best possible offer for client from carriers and shopping cases among our core carriers for best possible offer
• Maintaining accurate tracking records and preparing weekly status reports for sales associates
• Confirming appointments / licensing requirements have been met
• Preparing application packages for clients
• Tracking all underwriting business through client database

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, and highly organized. 3+ years experience in underwriting/application processing within an agency preferred.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive problem solver, dependable and hard working.  Candidate must have a professional phone manner, strong verbal/written communication skills and excellent computer skills.  Ideal candidate will have a Life and Health License or be willing to obtain while working at Lenox.
