Walgreens is currently seeking an industrial engineer for its' corporate headquarters in Deerfield, IL.
The ideal candidate will be:
Responsible for participating and acting upon the design and installation of material handling and pharmaceutical dispensing systems within our central pharmacy operation. Evaluate new concepts and technologies, which includes analyzing the existing and future volumes within our facilities. Will be required to work with on-site engineers and management personnel coordinating activities and keeping them informed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: facility layout planning, workflow design, process improvements, equipment/vendor selection, negotiation, new concept evaluation, technology evaluation, operation studies, data analysis. Ability to work with varied types of material handling equipment, including highly automated pharmaceutical dispensing and packaging equipment.
4-year Industrial Engineering degree is REQUIRED
Automated Materials Handling Systems knowledge
Trouble-shooting skills
Distribution Center Productivity and Quality Improvement programs
Statistical Process Control
Minimum 2 years working in Logistics field preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
