Summary
Establish standards and controls to produce quality products, through safe and ergonomically efficient utilization of manpower, OT utilization, and non-productive materials and equipment in order to reduce the plant’s operating costs.
Major Duties
· Enthusiastically support and contribute to GEMA’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Program.
· Develop and implement lean processes to improve manufacturing efficiency.
· Construct manpower requirements by utilizing studies and analysis of methods, equipment and work content.
· Establish competitive HPE productivity targets, track target attainment, provide HPE forecast and other reports.
· Utilizing a total systems approach, lead / participate in initiatives to eliminate waste and standardize work processes to ensure HPE productivity targets are attained.
· Actively participate in GEMA’s employee suggestion program.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
· Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
· 5 – 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with some knowledge of current engine plant manufacturing processes and technology, as well as an understanding of industrial engineering processes and technology, methods engineering, ergonomics and quality practices.
· Must have an understanding of direct and indirect labor industrial engineering (i.e. maintenance / janitorial).
· Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software required.

· This position will report directly to the IE Manager or Operations Manager.
· This position will have no direct supervisory responsibility.
