Description:
Independently performs duties associated with production process design, implementation, support, improvement and trouble-shooting in the electronics production environment by:
* establish equipment requirements for manufacturing processes as required and provide machine programs to production for each required machine.
* Provide technical support to technicians repairing automated equipment utilizing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
* Perform capital equipment justification, installation and integration as required, including software.
* Design and implement plant layout, interfacing with Manufacturing Operations and Facilities.
* Lead introduction, and retain ownership, of new products and processes into the production facility.
Skills/Qualifications:
Some knowledge of design for manufacturability in electronics, project planning and management skills, trouble shooting skills at all levels of production process, ability to analyze and make decisions based upon study of complex issues, ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, understanding of Kaizen and lean manufacturing along with Continuous Process Improvement, manual dexterity for use in hands-on implementation, ability to document, create, compare and improve various products and processes to include an understanding of SPC.
