Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location:          Plush Pippin Plant – Kent, WA

Reports to:       Maintenance Manager

Training and Experience

·         One to two years of technical training or equivalent

·         Six months to two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

Position Qualifications:

·         Able to weld steel, stainless steel helpful. MIG, TIG

·         Knowledge of basic tools used in bakery production environment

·         Knowledge of drive chains, sprockets, conveyor belt splicing

·         Able to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings

·         Forklift certification, Sit down, standup, aerial, and pallet jack.

·         Observance and verbal testing of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

·         Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

·         Good attendance, no written disciplinary actions in past six months

Essential Responsibilities

·         All electrical troubleshooting

·         Specialist in Electrical, Mechanical, PLC or Refrigeration. This is 50% of qualification

·         Make 75% or higher on the Maintenance Competency test. This is 25% of qualification

·         Hands on practical test of Electrical, Mechanical, PLC or Refrigeration. This is 25% of qualification.

·         Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, such as Lock out/Tag out, at all times

·         Must answer radio calls

·         Assist at all times with keeping the plant running as smooth as possible while working on OPM and maintenance projects

·         Preventative Maintenance on equipment scheduled through PMC.

·         Must ensure safe work practices

Physical Requirements

·         Able to tolerate dusty and wet conditions and occasional exposure to Zero degree temperatures

Medium work – exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
