Our Kaman Engineered Rubber Product Associates are the key to our success & growth with highly trained experienced Fabrication Technicians, Rubber Product Specialist and Customer Service Application Specialist that offer on-site training, application expertise, conveyor management, tracking & training, splice training, etc. we are ready to offer solutions that provide you our customer the greatest total value to make you more productive, more competitive and more profitable.

 

Summary: Fabricate hose & belting products both in shop & on customer job site to branches requirements that are within productivity and quality standards of Kaman Engineered Rubber Products Center.  Assist in achieving the goals of the Rubber Products Center by enforcing policies, communicating, leading by example, standardizing processes/procedures and providing a safe environment.

 

Qualifications:

Education – High School diploma or equivalent work experience.

Experience – 2 - 5 years of hose & belting fabrication experience in a factory environment is preferred; however, achievement of craft status in mechanical fields such as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Rigger or similar craft would be highly desired. Field installation and positive customer interaction experience is desirable.

 

Knowledge Essential to the position

  • Understanding & ability to use hand tools (winch, air compressor, generator, hand tools, crimper, swage machine, cutter, band saw, finger cutter, slitters, skivers, vulcanizers).
  • Imperial & Metric measurements

 

Skills/Abilities

Physical Requirements: Capable of all shop & field fabrication functions such as: Lifting and moving materials & equipment up to 150#; Standing, kneeling, crawling & climbing

           

Other: Perform Customer on-site vulcanizing and other conveyor maintenance services; Available for overtime and 24/7 emergency services as required to meet customer needs; Ability to work and perform in a cross-function environment (hose, belting, warehouse); Valid driver’s license; Responsible for a Company credit card.

We are excited to announce that we are currently expanding in the Appleton area where we are relocating our current shop to a new 23,000 sq. ft. facility with 6 bridge cranes to service our growing customer demands both in Heavyweight & Lightweight belting. 2 - 60' x 150' 10 ton bridge cranes and 2 - 30' x 150' bays with 4 - 4 ton bridge cranes. This expansion gives us the opportunity to hire additional fabrication & field technicians, increase inventory & equipment, with a goal to offer self-sufficient, turnkey on site services.

 

Kaman is also seeking out acquisitions throughout the US to add to our existing Belt Fabrication Shops & On-site capabilities in Tucson, AZ, LaMirada, CA, Pocatello, ID, Appleton, WI, Richfield, WI, Mason City, IA and Chicago, IL.

 

Kaman is focused on Safety with regular MSHA training, drug testing, OSHA training, First Aid Training and regular safety training, along with ongoing knowledge training that our major trade associations offer - Nahad Hose Training, Niba Belting Training.
