We are seeking a highly motivated SALES REPRESENTATIVE / ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE with INDUSTRIAL SALES EXPERIENCE who is results oriented and capable of spending close to 80% of their time on the road networking with clients. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a general knowledge of pumps and will maintain and improve service to existing accounts while developing new accounts in the assigned territory.

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Spend about 80% of your time on the road visiting customer sites performing informal, preliminary equipment surveys as required
• Act as direct liaison to assist Field Service Representative in resolving problems as they arise
• Generate comprehensive quotes / proposals to meet customer requirements
• Complete and submit reports such as those listed below in a timely manner
  • Weekly expense reports
  • Weekly call reports
  • Monthly activity reports
  • Target account planning
  • Weekly itinerary
• Ensure the following
  • Sales calls are accurately managed
  • Proper follow-up is done with regard to quotations
  • Closing transactions are done in a timely manner 

• 3 years of experience performing sales based activities within a company dealing with rotating equipment and industrial / municipal water & waste water customer
• Solid experience in Municipal Sales of rotating equipment
• Willingness to acquire an in-depth knowledge of:
  • Company product offerings and their related prime market applications and aftermarket potential
  • Customers and markets within the assigned territory
• Possesses a general knowledge of:
  • Pumps
  • Rotating equipment manufacturing and repair
  • Gears and bearings
  • Test procedures
  • Experience calling on engineering firms, contractors, and Government entities including:
    • Chemical plants
    • Municipalities
    • Water treatment facilities
• Able to meet deadlines, work on short lead times, and handle high-stress situations
• Flexible enough to meet demanding travel requirements
• Comfortable driving at night on an as needed basis
• Demonstrated ability to perform closely within a team environment while possessing the ability to proceed independently when required with minimal supervision even when multiple priorities exist
• Time management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Know how to efficiently operate a computer 

Bachelors Degree (PREFERRED)
