Manage and lead a small team of information assurance professionals that provides in depth technical support for the analysis and evaluation of security concepts, designs, and tests in support of certifying and accrediting heterogeneous United States Marine Corps applications/systems using the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). 

Activities include:

• 
  
  Developing and maintaining DIACAP packages and all other pertinent Information Assurance (IA) documentation in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and all other agency and department guidance throughout the application/system lifecycle;


• 
  
  Identifying, implementing, validating, and managing Information Assurance Controls (IACs);


• 
  
  Performing threat assessments, risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) and Information Assurance Control Validation ;




•  Assess system vulnerabilities and determine adequacy of security controls implemented and the level of residual risk;


• 
  
  Schedule and coordinate Information Assurance activities;


• 
  
  Provide the technical capability to analyze problems associated with integration and assist in the correction of security deficiencies of hardware and software used in current and planned systems and networks;


• 
  
  Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs; 


• 
  
  Conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews;


• 
  
  Developing systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures;


• 
  
  Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies
