Essential Functions of SAP BI Senior Consultant:
- Senior Consultants work within an engagement team and are not responsible for project management. 
- Responsibilities include, among others, identify business requirements, conducting blueprint workshops, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design
(including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
 
SAP Business Intelligence Senior Consultant candidates are required to have:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience preferably functional in SAP implementations and 3-4 years hands-on SAP Business Warehouse (BW) experience. A minimum of 2-3 full Business Warehouse full life-cycle implementations with experience in one of the functional areas, FI/CO, MM, PP or SD, SCM, CRM, SRM is preferred. 
- 3+ years of relevant technology architecture consulting or industry experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.
- Required technical skills:
- Ability to architect, design and develop an enterprise business intelligence solution
- 3+ years working with SAP BI, specifically InfoCubes, Operation Data Stores (ODS), Process Chains, Business Explorer (BeX) suite, and BusinessObjects BI tools such as
Crystal Reports, Xcelsius Enterprise, WebIntelligence (WebI)
- Proficient with BI performance tuning including BW Accelerator (BWA)
- Design and implement reporting data sources and complex reports
- Experience with BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1 platform is a plus.
- Additional desired skills:
- Define, design and implement global and enterprise data warehouses
- Proficient with BusinessObjects ETL tools and be able to architect an ETL solution
- Design and develop data cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching
- Knowledge of master data and metadata related standards, processes and technology
- SAP Certification is a plus as long as it is backed by real-time experience.
- SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) or Strategy Management (SSM) implementation experience is a plus.
- Weekly client-based travel, up to 80-100%
(Monday - Thursday/Friday)
 
Qualified Senior Consultant candidates are also required to have at least one full lifecycle project experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience creating processes for defining and documenting functional and technical specifications
- Build an integrated metadata environment consisting of both operational and business metadata  and ensure the quality and integrity of the data
- Identify opportunities to optimize performance of existing BW design for reporting and analytics
- Design and implement data quality and data auditing processes
- Provide expertise in data discovery and profiling process in both SAP and Non-SAP environment
In addition, successful Senior Consultant will also have the following preferred skills:
- Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS
PowerPoint).
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Willingness to mentor junior staff.
- An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred.
