Information Security Analyst


 

 

 

 

 

This position will focus on monitoring, analysis, and response to various types of security and compliance issues, both actual and potential, as well as the execution of security controls to prevent the exfiltration of company information and maintain the security of Monster data and customer information.

 

This position will be responsible for coordinating the monitoring for, mitigation of and reporting activities required to successfully control instances of security and compliance issues. This includes but is not limited to Monitoring active traffic; insuring the proper setup, hardening and maintenance of systems and networks; being actively involved in the Incident Response process; providing security review of all releases including penetration testing of code.

 

Particular areas of responsibility are:

 

  • Investigations related to the security of Monster’s services and databases
  • Monitoring for known vulnerabilities, creating monitors for new vulnerabilities.
  • Developing proper response to security audits and resolving issues found.
  • Performing penetration scans, both manual and automatic, verify against false positives.
  • Perform audits of required events to maintain compliance with requirements.
  • Assisting management with the development, implementation and execution of strategies to pro-actively prevent and address security and compliance issues.

 

 

 

 

 



Job Requirements:
_
  • Thoroughly investigate and report compliance/vulnerability issues
  • Identify and report the sources of misuse of Monster resources.
  • Analyze technology risks (security, availability, capability, efficiency and integrity) and provide recommendations to enhance the security control procedures.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years experience in system or network administration with a security focus.
  • Understanding of IP addressing and CIDR notation, domain registration and whois, DNS, SMTP, and black lists.
  • Understanding of information security concepts and methodology and ability to learn new technologies.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform internet-based problem solving.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrate and practice strong and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources in order to serve as a joint asset across organizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server/ IIS
  • Experience with Linux, Snort, Appscan or Nessus is a plus.
