Title: Information Security Analyst

Position Description: In this critical role, the Information Security Analyst will be responsible for analyzing information security needs for new and existing computer applications while providing security requirements analysis and administration across multiple platforms, including but not limited to, mainframe, Windows and Unix\Linux, along with ensuring appropriate levels of controls are achieved without affecting business functions.

Additional responsibilities include evaluating threats and vulnerabilities to ensure compliance with corporate policies/standards as well as regulatory and compliance requirements; ensuring protection of the network and data resources through the daily management and monitoring of systems including IDS/ log security events; assisting with development and maintenance of corporate policies and department operating procedures; and investigating security violations and responds to user questions. This work involves frequent contact with all levels of co-workers as well as security product vendors and other industry professionals.

Position Requirements: Requirements include a minimum of 4+ years of experience in an information security role. While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, emphasis will be placed on work experience in the information security field. Experience in multiple security domains including access control, incident management, network security administration, log management, vulnerability management, or web application security a must. The successful candidate will also have excellent analysis skills as well as verbal/written communication skills; a general knowledge of information risk regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial services industry; and maintain current knowledge of new and upcoming security trends, threats, and vulnerabilities. Professional certification such as CISSP is preferred. Some after hours on-call support will be required.
