Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Information Security Director to join our team in Plano, TX.

  • The Information Security Director is responsible for Perot Systems’ Security Services including Managed Security Operational Services, Information Assurance/Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk and Security Assessment, Access Controls and Identity Management Services, Network Forensics, Data Protection and Loss Prevention, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery services. Perot Systems Security Services aim to solve critical business problems, mitigate risk, produce actionable roadmaps, and deliver long-term solutions to our customer’s current and future security challenges. This includes conducting client security and/or risk assessments, quantifying and aligning business value with expenditure to mitigate these risks using qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques; provide guidance and operational strategies on regulatory security requirements, and delivering tactical support to implement our solutions.
  • The Information Security Director is responsible for developing and updating the following practice documents and offerings:
    Practice Business Plan
    Practice Overview
    Practice Presentation
    Technology Assessment(s) Overview
    White papers and other collateral materials demonstrating vertical solution capabilities
    Practice Marketing Plan in conjunction with Business Development
  • Perot Systems’ CTO and business unit CISO’s acts as an advisor and mentor to the Information Security Director for the development and execution of the plans, presentations, methodologies, white papers, and collateral material required above.
  • Working with the business unit CISO’s, the operations of a growth-oriented Security Practice is the primary responsibility of the Information Security Director.
  • Leveraging current relationships, lead generation through thought leadership practices and networking, developing strategic partnerships, engaging with customers as an SME to identify pain and opportunity, generating approaches and scopes of work, and efficiently and effectively staffing projects while taking part in Delivery during strategic engagements are all integral to this position’s role. The Information Security Director is responsible for the growth of his/her practice as defined in the Information Security Director Account Plan.
  • Working with the CISO’s, this position establishes go-to-market strategies for the Identity Assurance strategic offerings in collaboration with other Perot Systems service offerings. This includes managing strategic relationships with business partners; monitoring and providing management reporting on the consulting and business development activities of the various Perot Systems offices or business units; and, assisting in the development of appropriate levels of business and consultant performance metrics, including chargeability and utilization targets.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy Development and Execution: A critical element of the Information Security Director position is to collaborate with Business Unit CISO’s to develop and execute a go-to-market strategy that implements Perot Systems’ business strategy. This strategy has several distinct thrusts requiring unique expertise and relationships in the following areas:
    Communicate brand awareness through appropriate media (i.e., Conferences, Working Groups, Customer Forums, etc.) for Strategic Offerings as an integral part of Perot Systems’ vision, mission, and purpose.
  • Create and execute plans and approach to sell new Security Advisory services that leverage relationships with Perot Systems’ existing client base in the areas of Government, Financial, Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals, and Retail verticals. Work with Perot Systems’ current delivery management on-site to define new Security Advisory initiatives to meet customer needs.
  • Act as a resource base and support Perot Systems in identifying and qualifying new Security Advisory Service opportunities, developing new relationships, responding to RFP’s, and working with other Perot Systems Delivery Directorates.

    Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the branding, and promotion of all Perot Systems Security Service Offerings.
  • Lead in the development of Security Advisory Services-related service methodologies, targeted marketing and sales materials.
  • Apply knowledge of security business strategy, business operations, process analysis, and design to solve client needs.
  • Manage and lead clients through complex programs utilizing effective management of business value, risk, customer issues, communication, knowledge, and resources.
  • Participate in business development activities in conjunction with the appropriate BDM, the sales cycle of each engagement as well as existing client follow-on work potential.
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships with business partners.
  • Contribute to and manage Perot Systems strategic plan and budget.
  • Participate in strategic planning processes and implementation.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer project budgets and work plans utilizing all attendant tools for effective project management.
  • Mentor, evaluate and train personnel on proper methodology and best practices related to Information Assurance, and general consulting skills.
  • Attend bidders’ conferences, participate in oral presentations and prepare proposals.
  • Prepare for and participate in planned trade show meetings and conferences.
  • Initiate Program Management Plans prepared in accordance with company policy, contract agreements and proposals in support of Perot Systems business execution model. Ensure plan updates in accordance with contract or proposal modifications. Ensure account information is initiated and kept current as required.
  • Ensure that the right solution is developed to meet or exceed contract requirements and quality standards, and is delivered on time.
  • Provide program status against plans (revenue, profit, direct labor, indirect loadings, etc.).
  • Establish and track the program against schedule, budget, and profit objectives using Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, Earned Value and other tools to monitor and report work progress.
  • Promote the Perot Systems work ethic and business practices.
  • Possible travel up to 75%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:
    The Information Security Director is expected to be a subject matter expert (SME) with demonstrated experience in facilitating how commercial and Federal entities respond to new mandates and evolutionary influences. The candidate should also have expertise in consulting services, approaches, methodologies best practices and tools.

    The Information Security Director is expected to be a recognized leader in the Security community with a reputation for consulting at the highest levels. Additional knowledge and skills include:
  • Superior executive presence and presentation skills.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in building a consulting practice (planning, organizing, leading and controlling), execution of day-to-day Security Operations (SOC, Access Control) and mentoring staff.
  • Proven experience in business development within professional services industry indicative of large-scale consulting experience.
  • Adept at designing and implementing Information Technology enabled business solutions.
  • Proven resource in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to understand the big picture of a business situation.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, identifies follow-on opportunities, and has a strong desire to excel.
  • Ability to drive innovation within the organization.

  • Ability to assess, interpret and apply industry standards, law, and corporate policy & procedures to the management and execution of engagements and in the management and discipline of employees.

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology or engineering
  • 15 years+ of progressive professional responsibility within consulting services industry

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Certified Information Security Profession (CISSP)
  • Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
  • PMP certification from PMI desired
