Part-time Marketing: Experienced and / or knowledgeable regarding the hospitality industry especially the vacation resort facet, website maintenance, social media networking and third party e-marketing. A combination of excellent computer and marketing skills are required to handle the multitasking of this position as well as high energy positive and friendly disposition. This is primarily a part time position with very flexible hours. The desired candidate would have experience and up to date skills for efficiency and knowledge base. This position would be a great position for a mother who would like to work during school hours or a mature junior or senior marketing college student who is very computer savvy.
Description of Responsibilities:
• Website maintenance to include ad specials, rate changes, and will be responsible for all aspects of website maintenance.
• Review SEO reports
• Monitor weekly comparison of competitor rates and specials advertised
• Tracking reservation leads
• Assist in timely reservations and quest inquires
• Proficient with Photoshop or comparable graphic program, knowledgeable of property management systems including booking of rooms, You-Tube, flickr, twitter and facebook
• Project quarterly forecasts for properties
• Review and project monthly revenues per unit and season
• Other projects as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree or equivalent experience or working towards degree junior or senior
• Must demonstrate initiative and ability to take on projects (proactive)
• Must demonstrate leadership and ownership of projects
• Must be organized, concise, detailed, flexible, and efficient
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must have good listening skills, and be service and detail oriented
• Must possess the ability to resolve problems and offer solutions in a professional manner
• Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently, requiring minimal supervision
• Must be able to work outside the core business hours when needed
• Some out of town travel may be required
• Desired Minimum Experience 4 – 5 years
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, website maintenance, Photoshop or comparable graphic program, Excel, knowledgeable of property management systems, You-Tube, flickr, twitter and facebook
