Job Description
Software Design Engineer
BCforward is looking for a Software Design Engineer
JOB SUMMARY / TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Description:
-Develop the content design database under the development lead/architect direction. Add new features to the database to expand its use across a broader user base and make it more streamlined in the operational processes it supports.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years experience in PHP
A minimum of 1 year programming in HTML/CSS
Comfortable developing in a Linux / UNIX environment
Strong background in XML or JSON
Strong background in REST API principles
Familiarity with Graphic Design principles and technologies
Experience working with modern open source databases
Experience working in a team environment on multiple projects
Ability to work independently
Nice to Haves:
IPTC, XMP metadata management and experience
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and architectures
Imagemagick Scripting experience
Scrum / Agile experience
Technical Writing experience
Location: Corvallis, OR 97330
Wage: $32.11/HR on W2
Contract length: 4 months with possibility for extension
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
