Information Technology (IT) Manager

Parlex is one our wholly-owned subsidiaries, based in the Methuen, MA. Parlex offers world-class design, prototyping, contract manufacturing and value added assembly for flexible printed circuits, flat flexible cables and polymer thick film circuits. The IT Manager will manage all aspects of the day to day operation of our network infrastructure as well as function as the sole technical resource for employee desktop support. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can develop, execute and manage corporate IT policies yet enjoys the customer interaction “help desk” function as well.

Responsibilities:

• Define IT system architecture and ensure compliance with Johnson Electric IT control standards and security policies.
  
• Troubleshoot and diagnose customer problems and complaints and resolve IT related support issues in a timely manner.
  
• Assess and mitigate information technology risks.
  
• Manage third party services and quality of IT services.
  
• Manage system performance and capacity.
  
• Educate and train users on specific IT applications and policies.
  
• Manage data integrity, incidents and problems.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
  
• 1 – 3 years IT Management experience including help desk/desktop support.
  
• Computer hardware troubleshooting experience (PC/Laptop/Server/Printer).
  
• Computer networks/telephone system knowledge
  
• ERP application and system experience.
  
• Programming languages: VBA, VB and Perl experience.
  
• Lotus Notes administration experience is critical.
  
• MSCE is a plus.
  
• A “customer-focused” attitude is essential.
  
• Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
