Job Description
- Assist in working with client hospital IT, Clinical and Administrative staffs to communicate product functionality options, collect configuration preferences, configure product components, test and troubleshoot issues
- Assist in giving product enrolment presentations, along with setting project goals and milestones for customer and internal staffs
- With supervision, design, develop and update on-line help, course materials, manuals and supplemental handouts for onsite client training
- Provide training to clients at client location
- Provide Helpdesk support with ability to diagnosis severity of issues and take a leadership role in problem resolution
- Develop an in-depth understanding of MSA Life Sciences products
- Analyze system and business process requirements and design, develop and execute test cases to ensure test coverage
- Maintain technical and business competency as required to interact with client IT and Clinical staffs
- Generate Functional Specifications for product enhancements
- Provide technical sales support as required
Required Skills
- Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience with Health Information Systems
- Minimum of four years practical experience in information technology, with a minimum of one years experience in a technical leadership role
- Minimum one year of experience in providing product training
- Hospital clinical domain experience a plus, organ transplantation clinical experience is ideal
- Ability to provide onsite training at client sites (including overnight travel)
- Experience interfacing clinical applications (HIS, EMR, LIS) within a hospital system
- Experience with HL7 (ADT & ORU) or ASTM (1381 & 1394)
- Experience with data management and relational databases (SQL Server) including ability to write SQL and understand/use data models
- Analytical or development background with strong trouble shooting abilities
- Must be able to exhibit strong organizational, multi-tasking and detailed oriented skills along with success under pressure
- Experience designing, developing and executing test cases
- Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing and interpersonal skills
