About the Job

We are seeking an   IT/Security Officer to be located in the Norcross, GA business center.  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Security Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, oversight and administration of the information security systems, policies, and procedures that will maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational data files across the company.  The Security Officer will implement systems that provide detection, prevention, containment, and deterrence mechanisms.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills:

• Experienced in the management of both physical and logical information security systems;
• Must possess the ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff;
• Experience with taking an organization through ISO 27001 certification process;
• Experience with business continuity planning, auditing and risk management;
• Strong technical skills (application and operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments, security audits, TCP/IP, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, etc.);
• Experience with successful contract and vendor negotiation;
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule and other pertinent technology laws;
• Proficient in developing records systems, reports, and secure system processing requirements;
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively; and
• Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and/or situations.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related field preferred. 

·         At least 5 years of data security systems experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

·         ISO 27001 Certification Process experience a plus

·         CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification a plus.

·         Proven supervisory experience a plus.
