Injection Maintenance Technician
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and trouble shoots to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Responsible for SAP driven planned maintenances.
- Responsible for mold changeovers.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic components
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Assist/plan equipment and retrofit installations.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Performs work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Responsible for adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices GMP rules.
- Responsible for maintaining high standards relating to area housekeeping.
- Responsible for working effectively with Team Leaders, Production Technicians, and other plant personnel.
- Has the authority to place product on hold and shut machines down.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Excellent mechanical skills, exhibited by related mechanical experience, or a minimum of a two year university or technical school degree or equivalent, or a combination of education and related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to perform intermediate math calculations and problem solving.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
