Injection Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for and has the authority for setting up, performing maintenance, troubleshooting and making the necessary repairs to the machines and auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to adhere to the attendance and punctuality policy. Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures and all Instruction manuals. Functions effectively within a team environment. Performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, adjustments/repairs and changeovers on injection molding machines and all of the related auxiliary equipment. Monitors and performs necessary adjustments and repairs on control systems for safe and efficient processing. Completes preventative maintenance tasks as assigned. Documents all work performed and parts usage in plant maintenance software. Assist Injection production personnel as needed. Observes all local and Company safety policies and procedures as well as housekeeping requirements. Attend team meetings and training sessions as scheduled. Miscellaneous related duties as assigned. Follows all safety requirements, policies and reports any unsafe conditions to a leader. Works in a safe and efficient manner at all times, monitors team members for safe practices and mentors best methods. Operate and monitor assigned machines and auxiliary equipment. Functions effectively within a team environment. Responsible for the completion of all required training and technical criteria with in a defined time period. Follows all company policies and work rules including but not limited to 6S (housekeeping), GMP, Lean Manufacturing practices and BOS quality system. Participates in the development and implementation of line improvements. Maintains various daily reports in SAP as required. Miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience. Technically orientated and knowledgeable in manufacturing systems. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Proficient in computer programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Two Year degree in relevant major (such as engineering, packaging, or plastics) and/or 2+ years of relevant manufacturing experience. (4 year degrees preferred)

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifteen pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
