Inside Sales Representative – Business to Business Environment

 

Based in Minnesota, Siegel Display Products has been an industry leader since 1969, offering the largest, most comprehensive inventory of display products in the country.  We carry thousands of displays for literature, merchandise, tradeshows, presentations and more. Many of our items are exclusive to Siegel Display Products, developed and fine-tuned over the years to perfectly fit our customers’ needs.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Inside Phone Sales Representative to prospect potential customers and maintain existing customer base.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Responsible for outbound calls including account planning, call preparation, the call, and any post call follow up

 

Plan calls with customers using guidelines and establish relationships with customers. Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and potential customers

 

Call current customers to detail products, and sales opportunities. Candidate must call prospective new customers to build existing customer base.

 

Communicate opportunities and general information with merchandising on a consistent basis, both formally and informally

 

Monitor performance against targets

 

Develop product knowledge essential to building customer relationships.

 

Use active listening and sales techniques to identify customer needs and match them with appropriate products.

 

 

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

 

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

Detail oriented

Demonstrated negotiation skills

Ability to work independently

Ability to quickly obtain product knowledge

Ability to effectively organize, conduct and follow-up

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years in an retail sales/marketing outbound calling environment.

PC skills required: MS Word and Excel

 

Excellent communications skills, written as well as verbal.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:

Reports to the General Manager

This position has no direct reports

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is a salary plus commission position
