Inside Sales AssociateThis position is an integral part of the Inside Sales strategy participating in the identification and qualification of sales opportunities and the assignment of accounts to appropriate sales personnel. The position is accountable for a variety of sales support functions, including lead handling and technical pre and post sales activities to increase sales revenue. Some prospecting will be required. The Inside Sales Associate position resides in an ever-changing environment requiring great flexibility, the ability to be on the phone through the day and can manage many tasks at one time.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Represent strong levels of integrity and accountability in representing both Digi and Digi products.
- Answer incoming 800# calls from customers including: Resellers, Solution Providers, OEM, End Users, Distributor Sales Reps, and Industry partners.
- Pre/Post – sales technical assistance and product selection.
- Responding to all customer, Email and Web site generated product or technical requests and inquiries.
- Follow-up on all POS customers.
- All mailings for Sales staff team including, literature fulfillment, letters, customer correspondence and lead entry fulfillment.
- Daily input of leads to sales database for further qualification by Inside Sales Representatives and Field Sales team.
- Prospecting and qualifying leads for opportunities.
- Routing of opportunities to Account Managers, as well as Distribution channels for order fulfillment.
- Assist Field Sales team in price check, product availability, customer questions and requests, product recommendation, configuration, etc.
- Assistance in other projects as assigned by Manager of Inside Sales.
- Responsible for scheduled phone queue position & meeting Key Performance Indicators of Inside Sales organization as defined by the Inside Sales Manager.
- Daily Activity expectations of 60% logged in time being phone time 5 days/week (~4hr 45 min). Logged in time/day should be 8 hours.
Position Requirements:
- BA/BS or Technical degree
- 0 – 2 years sales experience or a combination of education and experience
- Technical aptitude a must
- Strong communication skills (including interpersonal and written) and a positive pro-active approach
- Great customer service skills
- Sales experience, call center or industry experience a plus
