Inside Sales Manager
Job Description
The Sales Manager plays a key role in making sure our inside sales people are utilizing best practices and any tools necessary to be as effective as possible. They monitor conversion statistics and continually review and update scripts and processes. They oversee the sales staff (we call them “setup coaches”) and provide constant guidance and feedback. The Sales Manager also assists in other sales-related duties, including working with enterprise clients and prospects. We will be looking to the Sales Manager to play a lead role in turning the entire company into a sales-focused organization.
We expect the Sales Manager to be a student of sales with a clear understanding of sales strategy, tactics, and theory.
Responsibilities
The Sales Manager has the following responsibilities:
· Manage the inside sales staff (9-12 people)
· Train new sales people
· Train existing sales staff on sales techniques and system features
· Create sales documentation
· Listen to sales calls and provide feedback to sales people
· Lead weekly sales calls (all sales people work remotely)
· Monitor conversion statistics
· Set and achieve aggressive sales goals
· Participate in sales calls (mostly phone) with prospects, including enterprise prospects
· Lead in the sales process for procuring enterprise clients
· Work closely with marketing and IT staff to implement changes to increase signup rates
· Identify and implement sales tools to assist sales people
· Attend trade shows
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 2 years experience in software sales management
· Excellent writing and speaking skills
Compensation
This is an on-site full-time salaried position. The salary is $60,000 + commission.
