The Opportunity
The ideal candidate will progressively manage and grow business with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers daily. The ideal candidate must be able to meet or exceed sales objectives, and have a proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships as well as promote and sell Graybar products in compliance with all company pricing policies and instructions, to achieve maximum gross margin rate. The candidate will handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential claims and keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
The Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and five years of industry specific experience desired. A broad knowledge of product line and pricing is preferred. The successful candidate must possess exceptional phone and prospecting skills; proven ability to learn our business, and to work independently to achieve goals; negotiation skills along with the ability to sell and be persuasive; and a broad knowledge of business administration, MS Office sales and marketing. A professional appearance and demeanor required. Acceptable driving record is a must. Must be willing to make onsite customer visits as necessary.
