Job Description
The Dental Inside Sales Representative position will be primarily responsible for making outbound sales calls in order to generate leads, establish new customers and maintain existing customers as is appropriate within an assigned geographic region. Additionally, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible to meet quarterly revenue and activity based goals.
•Maintain high activity standards with the primary activity being outbound call selling (50 to 60 outbound calls per day) within the assigned geographic region •Obtain, maintain and articulate a comprehensive understanding of the product line up and their benefits to the customer’s needs •Successfully implement sales cycle management processes to meet and exceed quarterly revenue objectives •Work with Field Sales representatives in assigned region to maximize territory coverage and revenue potential on all assigned accounts •Segment assigned accounts as specified by departmental standards. •Indentify and qualify highly effective recommending customers and follow up as appropriate •Track all relevant account activity and administer proper follow up •Place orders with accuracy •Occasional travel to National Sales Training and participation at tradeshows •May be requested to take inbound calls when volume is above expectations •Other duties as assigned
Requirements
•Ability and motivation to sustain high outbound calling activities (50 to 60 outbound calls per day) •2+ years of demonstrated outbound business-to-business phone-based sales experience desired •Professional phone demeanor •Ability to work in a team environment •Basic proficiency using computer applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Windows and customer relationship management tools •Ability to take initiative, manage time effectively and require minimal supervision •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Knowledge of dental products a plus •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
