Inside Sales Representative Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Emerging Markets Sales Representative is expected to prospect and develop new customer leads, introduce the Gomez service, and close business on a monthly basis. This is a quota carrying direct sales position with the vast majority of business being conducted via phone and internet communication. The Emerging Markets Sales Representative will be expected to develop a territory Go-To-Market plan and execute daily on that plan. In doing so, they will call into prospective customers, build relationships with the IT and lines of business groups and qualify any business pain associated with poor web application experience and its impact on business performance. Once relevant pain is identified, the sales representative will work with the customer and virtual Gomez team (SE, Mgmt, Prod Mgmt, etc) to fully qualify the customer need and map the appropriate Gomez solution(s) resulting in a closed transaction.
Expectations of an Inside Sales Representative
· Develop and implement a GTM strategy thru our internal marketing group as well as individual campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue growth
· Prospect new accounts and build relationships with potential customers using phone and internet communications.
· Efficiently manage time to focus on activities that grow pipeline and revenue.
· Use analytical skills to understand the customer, their business and technology issues and needs.
· Leverage the Gomez virtual team to conduct discovery, qualify need and prove the value of Gomez solutions to address those needs.
· Actively maintain a sales pipeline in accordance with Gomez process and philosophies.
· Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to exceed expectations every day.
· Be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to the overall team’s success.
· Continuously strive to improve sales effectiveness and business acumen.
