VisionCor, Inc. is currently recruiting for an instructional design manager with extensive experience managing, designing and developing instructor-led (ILT) and/or e-learning solutions, to join a project team based in St. Louis, Missouri.
Description
The instructional design manager will direct a team to conduct needs assessment, analyze tasks, design, develop, and implement blended solutions for organizational restructuring for a large merger project. Responsibilities include needs/gap analysis, and managing large instructional design and development teams to create training materials, design ILT and script e-learning modules. The project will focus on training for role/departmental changes, processes, procedures and proprietary software. The design manager will interface with client senior management, user groups, and VisionCor management on a regular basis and report project time and status as required. This individual will be responsible for producing status reports and managing deliverables to their successful completion within targeted deadlines and within budget.
The instructional design manager position is based on-site in St. Louis, but may require occasional travel. Strong preference will be given to candidates living in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The successful candidates will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of current instructional strategy and design methodologies and possess a minimum of 10 years experience in developing blended solutions, along with a minimum of 3 years managing large instructional design teams. Experience managing large learning teams and/or projects at a senior level and experience within the financial sector in areas such as brokerage, banking, and/or mergers are highly desired. A background including instructional development experience is ideal.
This position is initially offered on a contract basis with the option for renewal or conversion to full-time employee status at the close of the engagement. The instructional design manager position is part of an open-ended, long-term project.
Qualifications
-Minimum 10 years experience in training design and development
-Background in the financial sector, brokerage and/or mergers
-Strong interpersonal communications, work group, team facilitation, negotiation, organizational and managerial skills
-Proven professionalism and consulting experience
-Excellent references
-4-year degree in business or related field, advanced degree preferred
-Pre-employment drug screening, criminal, credit, work history, and reference checks will be required
