Job Description

Nemours is seeking a Instructional Designer - 1 to join our team in Delaware.


As one of the nation's premier pediatric health care systems, Nemours provides world-class clinical care in four states -- Delaware, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, offers intensive and acute inpatient and outpatient services covering more than 30 pediatric specialties. Ranked as one of the nation's 25 Best Children's Hospitals by Parents magazine in 2009, we care for thousands of children in the Delaware Valley, across the country and around the world. Extending the world-class care of the duPont Hospital for Children, the Nemours Children's Clinic provides convenient community-based physician services and collaborative partnerships with health and hospital systems across the Delaware Valley.

This position is responsible for planning, designing, developing, and conducting training and educational programs for our internal Associates, in classroom and on-line settings.

Other responsibilities include formatting and publishing materials for print and web delivery. This included creation of original graphics and visual resources, delivery of synchronous web-events, development of interactive resources, serving as subject matter expert and primary writer in projects for software applications including Epic and Lawson, delivery of instruction to individuals and groups in a variety of formats, and to maintain records of instructional development and training activities.

Bachelors degree and one year experience are required.

Technical skills required:

Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
Expertise in software for online course development
Expertise in the use of JavaScript and Flash for interactive learning module development
Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and clients
Experience with Epic and Lawson systems
