Instructional Designer

Identifies, designs, and evaluates training solutions for PRA staff that meet corporate goals. Uses a variety of different learning strategies and technologies to best address PRA’s training needs. Understands the processes for designing and developing training and is able to manage them.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manages the design, development and ongoing review and revision of course materials, interactive and multimedia technology-driven components, and other support materials
  • Provide guidance and leadership in the development of instructor-led and computer-based training
  • Coordinates production of instructional materials with subject matter expert (SME)
  • Transforms complex/technical information into professional, effective adult learning
  • Coordinates the content, graphics, and programming efforts on projects
  • Ensures quality and timeliness of product development and delivery
  • Ensures that assigned projects are delivered on time and within budget


QUALIFICATIONS
  • An undergraduate degree or its international equivalent from an accredited institution required
  • An advanced degree in education, instructional technology, or its international equivalent preferred
  • Experience using Macromedia Flash, Fireworks and Captivate; Adobe Audition and Photoshop, or similar multi-media software packages preferred
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and principles of online development, as well as strong instructional design for web-based and blended learning solutions
  • Excellent research, writing, editing, and scripting skills and the ability to clearly communicate in a team environment
  • Excellent written, oral communication, presentation, and computer skills
