Job Description:
-The Instructor/Developer (Technical Training Specialist II) is responsible for the delivery of platform instructional materials.
-Development/maintenance of instructional materials for various delivery methods
-Provide Subject Matter expert (SME) services for new systems installation as required.
-Serve as a resource for Raytheon Operations as required.
-Certify/refresh operator proficiency as required
-Assist in the development/maintenance of Job Qualification Standards (JQS) materials for pertinent Operations positions.
-Act as a liaison between Training and the Customer to help identify training shortfalls and recommend solutions to close identified gaps in performance.
-Perform Job Task Analysis' for new or existing Operations positions.
-Will work in an open environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary.
- This position is a traditional day schedule. However, there can be times, infrequently, where non-traditional hours (shift work) can be required to fill in for operational positions.
- Position is a two year tour with multiple tours possible.
Work location is Alice Springs, Australia.

Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills:

Requires a bachelors degree in engineering, education, or another applicable subject, or equivalent work experience, plus two or more years of related work experience.
-
Experience in the realm of digital communications, with specific knowledge of: Basic diagnostic equipment used such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
-
A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of signal modulation schemes and various modulation methods.
-
Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint.
-
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours (shift work), infrequently, if required to fill in for operational positions. This position is a traditional day schedule.

Requires US or Australian citizenship.
- Requires a current TS/SCI SSBI security clearance or Top Secret PV clearance. EBI and polygraph required. EBI and polygraph required.

Individual and eligible dependents must successfully pass medical and psychological examinations prior to being selected for the position
Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

Experience as a classroom and/or OJT instructor.

Experience in the development of training materials using the principles of Instructional Systems Design.

Typically prior military experience proves quite helpful.

Experience working in direct support of customers is also beneficial.

Experience participating effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
